Wildfire

It was in your look, the first time we met and kissed,
Something in your smile, your eyes that danced like wildfire.
And while your words said no, there was a yes upon your lips,
As your tongue reached out to meet my own in an embrace.

Then it happened once again, this time within your room,
That same hot kiss just as before but this time bid me stay,
And more emboldened, allowed my hand within your dress,
Within your blouse and within your everything; hidden wildfire.

Then it caught us, you and I, in burning heat, unfulfilled desire,
Naked you beside me in your bed, demanding all I had to give,
And being satiated once, asked to have it once again; wildfire;
But this time in a gentler way, even more arousing than before.

So do not wonder why you pine, why sleep is harder now than then,
Wildfire is the thing you seek; wildfire now and forevermore.
It's lodged itself within your mind, your heart, within your core,
Longing for its heat all night, remembering what we did before.

Souls fused,

Our passion, spent,
We could let go,
Each from each.
